Pixel is a revolutionary, FDA-approved treatment designed to create younger, more radiant skin by addressing sun damage, acne scars and other texture issues.
Pixel skin resurfacing?
Pixel is a fractional laser treatment that targets sun damage, early signs of aging and acne scarring. It produces visible results after just one session and is considered safe for all skin types. The laser works by creating thousands of tiny “wounds” in the treatment area, but ensuring that the surrounding tissue is unharmed, so that your skin can repair itself rapidly.
When compared to more aggressive treatments, such as traditional laser skin resurfacing, dermabrasion and chemical peels, Pixel offers a great balance. It’s extremely effective in resurfacing the skin and treating a wide range of imperfections, but it’s much gentler than other options and associated with less downtime.
Are you a candidate?
The ideal candidate for Pixel is a man or woman who has lost their youthful radiance due to sun damage and the natural aging process. For these patients, Pixel can address:
- Mild to moderate fine lines and wrinkles
- Uneven skin pigmentation
- Enlarged pores
- Brown spots
- Acne scars
What to expect during your appointment
When you arrive at our Scottsdale office for Pixel treatments, we will begin by applying a topical numbing cream to your skin. From there, we will provide you with protective eyewear before treating the target area with the Pixel laser. While the pulse of the laser is administered, you may feel a slightly warm sensation that’s not unlike the feeling of a sunburn. This entire process takes about 30 minutes, at which point we will apply a soothing recovery lotion.
For the first week after your treatment, it’s normal to notice redness and peeling. During this time, it’s important to hydrate your skin to aid in the healing process. In general, we recommend three to six treatments every four to six weeks for optimal results, along with one maintenance visit a year.
