Practice Policy Update Regarding COVID-19
All of us at the practice are wishing you safety and peace during these turbulent times. We will all get through it I assure you. I would like to personally encourage each of you to be extremely limited in any activities outside your own home. Please keep your personal contacts to less than 3-5 people if at all possible. We will beat this if we take this very seriously and are compliant with extreme social distancing especially NOW and through the next 2-3 weeks.
I care deeply about the well being of all of you who are currently under my care. We are still open but only seeing those who have had very recent procedures. This has not been more than a handful of patients this past week. We have staggered appointments to only one patient in the office at a time with direct access from the car to the exam room. I have also limited staffing and visit each patient with masks and gloves. This is for your protection as I am rendering it as close to a no-contact office visit as possible. The office is repeatedly cleansed between patients and follow up appointments are made by phone.
We are also in a hold on all MD Beauty Spa appointments with our dedicated team of nurse injectors and aestheticians. We will keep you posted as developments unfold as to the timing of the resumption of appointments.
We so appreciate everyone’s patients and understanding for we are all in this together and I will continue to be dedicated to every single one of you with meticulous medical care and extreme caution as it pertains to minimizing your contact with anyone that is not necessary. If your surgery was more than 3 weeks ago we are doing virtual follow up appointments so please call if you have questions.
If you are scheduled to have surgery in the next 4-6 weeks we will be in a temporary hold but expect to be able to make up procedures promptly as I will be adding operatory days on Mondays and Thursdays in the first 2-3 weeks so that we get caught up.
I will be contacting you individually.
As for new patients requesting consultations, they will be done virtually from the safety of your own home. We can review requested photos of the area of concern and have a very thorough consultation via phone until such time we can see you for your in-office examination and evaluation of treatment options. We are quite proficient at virtual consultations and perform them very effectively since 15% -20% of our patients have traveled from out of town, out of state or internationally to be under my care.
Blessings to each of you and to your families.
With care and dedication,
Marc Malek MD
